Hi everyone,

This last saturday, 59 achievers were supposed to attend "Celebrate", a concert put together by one of our most enthusiastic supporters. I was informed that less than 15 students attended the event, giving Junior Achievement a very bad image with the organizers. Each ticket was $20, which means that the cost of our "no-shows" was more than $800. Not acceptable.

Due to this incident, I'm really worried about what could happen at the Alberta Business Hall of Fame. Each ticket at this event costs $300. Junior Achievement is giving you a seat that otherwise could be sold at that price. So, not only we are not selling those tickets, but we are covering the cost of the dinner to give you that opportunity. Each "no-show" at this event really impacts the budget for this year, and the amount of seats that we would be able to allocate for future years. You may think you are the only one that is not coming, but as it happened at the concert, your no show could mean a way bigger impact. 10% no show at this event means more than $5,500!!!!

So...

• Please make sure that you attend the event if you RSVP'ed.
• If you RSVP'ed and can't come FOR ANY REASON, please let me know before Tuesday at noon.
• Only the students in the RSVP list are able to attend.
• Make sure you dress business formal attire. NO jeans, t-shirts, hats, sneakers, etc.
• Men must wear a shirt and tie. Women shouldn't wear skirts or dresses that are too short.
  
• Everyone should be there at 3:30 pm. If you finish school at that time, please come as soon as possible. No one should be there after 4 pm.
• Parking is complementary. Simply advise the attendant that you are attending the Junior Achievement Alberta Business Hall of Fame.
